A Unique Course Providing In-depth Understanding of a Complex Issue
This four-part series explores the roots of racism and helps you understand the impacts of racism on an individual and societal level while also providing tools for dealing with racism in our personal lives and even in the workplace. Our facilitators will guide you safely through the course, allowing you to build upon your already existing experiences and knowledge and find personal and professional applications for the course.

* Those staff at AAISA-member agencies who complete the Anti-Racism course can have the hours of training accepted by AAISA for certification purposes.

April 5: Roots of racism and our contemporary realities
April 19: Understanding how racism affects our personal lives
May 3: Breaking down racism at the systemic level
May 17: Moving towards an inclusive society free of racism
Who should attend:
Educators, HR professionals, employers, social service providers, community leaders, and anyone who’d like to learn about racism in depth.
Course Details: Workshops take place in Edmonton from 9AM-4PM on the scheduled day. Lunch is provided.

Participants must attend all four days. Certificate issued on completion of course.
