What to expect as a participant |

Bamboo Shield participants can expect between one and three years of support and intervention, depending on the individual's needs. This typically involves:
- Three group sessions per week, led by a project leader and police resource officers.
- Ten learning modules on various life and personal skills (see list below)
- Time every week with mentors, who may provide recreational or cultural companionship, tutoring, social outings, etc.
- Two facilitated monthly sessions with parents and/or guardians
- One monthly session with community leaders (advocates, parents, resource officers, Elders, etc.)
