Why should you attend?
The face of Alberta is changing.
More than ever, many cultures and races are present in communities, schools and workplaces in our Province.
- Over half a million of newcomers have been coming to Canada every year, 80% from non-white countries. Many of them now choose Alberta as their new home.
- Aboriginal population in Alberta has increased by 10.6 percent from 2001 to 2006. This is close to the double national average of 5.4.
- Between 2001 and 2006, the number of visible minorities in Alberta has increased close to 40%.
- Edmonton and Calgary have each surpassed Montreal in the number of visible minorities.
Expected Outcomes:
- Explore the roots of racism including implicit bias and stereotypes
- Investigate the impacts of racism in our communities
- schools, workplaces and organizations
- Connect personal experiences of power, privilege and marginalization to systemic racism in our various organizations
- Help you to develop and strengthen your antiracism analysis framework
- Offer practical and analytical tools to do antiracism work in your communities, schools and workplaces
Participants must attend all four sessions (subject to Terms of Registration)
- Cost for CRC members: $550 for the series
- Cost for non-members: $600 for the series

Terms of Registration
- In case the client is unable to attend one or more days of the training series, 2-hour one-on-one make-up sessions are available for the extra cost of $ 100 each.
- Refunds cannot be issued in the case where the client can no longer attend the courses stipulated in the registration.
- Once the training session has begun registrations are non-transferable.
- CRC reserves the right to postpone or cancel the course in the event where the amount of participants is not sufficient to support the cost of delivery.
- In occurrence of the aforementioned event, CRC will inform the client who will indicate whether the client is (a) available for the new date(s) OR (b) would like to keep a credit to be used towards other future courses OR (c) would prefer a full refund.
