Since 2003, the Peace Ambassadors' Initiative (PAI) has reached nearly 11,000 youth through more than 500 presentations across Northern Alberta, including communities such as Edmonton, Red Deer, Olds, Athabasca, Nordegg, Cold Lake, Fishing Lake, Sherwood Park and Beaumont . . . and as far away as Pennsylvania State, USA.
The program was the 2007 recipient of the Canadian Mental Health School Award for the positive effect it had on ameliorating racism's impact on the mental health of young people.
